From Baltimore County Government: On Monday, July 4, trash, single stream recyclables and yard materials will not be collected in Baltimore County, and all drop-off centers will be closed.
Residents are reminded that this holiday will follow the County’s new “slide” schedule for make-up collection days. All trash, recycling and yard material curbside collections scheduled on or after Monday, July 4, will shift and occur one day later that week:
For addresses on a twice-per-week trash schedule, the first trash collection during the holiday week will occur one day later than normal (per the rules above), and the second trash collection will not occur.
If further clarification is needed, residents are encouraged to consult their specific collection schedule to learn when to set out materials during weeks that contain a collection holiday. Schedules are available for download on the Bureau of Solid Waste Management’s website and may also be requested by calling 410-887-2000.
Drop-off centers will be open with normal hours on Friday, July 1, and Saturday, July 2. Drop-off facilities will reopen on Tuesday, July 5.
For more information, residents should visit the Bureau of Solid Waste Management’s website or call 410-887-2000.
I hope that the plan include walk paths, open spaces with seating to view nature and consequences for people littering, loitering and killing the wildlife.
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
