BALTIMORE COUNTY - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has unveiled plans for bridge maintenance on the Windsor Mill Road two-lane bridge, which spans the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway).

The bridge is set to undergo milling, patching, and resurfacing beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 13, with completion aimed for the morning of Monday, October 23. This schedule is weather-dependent. In case of adverse weather conditions, the maintenance will be rescheduled to the weekend of October 27-29 or a subsequent date.

During the project, only one lane of the bridge will remain operational. Flagging teams will direct the two-way traffic on the bridge. Motorists are advised to expect lane closures near the bridge on the weekends of October 13-15 and October 20-22. Notably, the bridge's westbound sidewalk will be temporarily inaccessible during the first weekend of work.

The Marksmen Company, based in Baltimore, has been contracted to carry out the $225,000 project.

MDOT SHA encourages drivers to remain vigilant and moderate their speeds when approaching the work zone to ensure the safety of the public and the work crews.
