OWINGS MILLS - Bernie Najar, celebrated Director of Instruction at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, has been bestowed with the prestigious PGA Master Professional designation by the PGA of America, marking the pinnacle of educational achievement within the organization.

Out of over 29,000 PGA of America Golf Professionals, Najar stands out as only the 439th to attain this esteemed status.

The rigorous PGA Master Professional Program, in existence since 1969, is designed to honor those PGA Members who consistently strive for professional excellence. Candidates must hold at least ten years of PGA Membership and have completed advanced certification through the PGA Certified Professional Program. A comprehensive project tailored to their specific PGA certification is the final step, culminating in the coveted PGA Master Professional title upon its successful presentation.

"It's surreal to be a part of the Master Professional group, Najar said. "I try to push myself to represent my family and the Association at the highest level, to lead by example with those I mentor back home, and to be the best golf professional I can be. I know this is the best program to fulfill those goals."

Having dedicated his skills to the Caves Valley Golf Club since 2012, Najar has mentored a diverse range of students, from novices to ambitious tour aspirants. Under his tutelage, many have secured Division I golf scholarships and clinched club championships across the Middle Atlantic.
