OWINGS MILLS - Four nature trails now connect Stevenson University's East Campus, North Campus, and the Caves Sports and Wellness Center. The university announced the trails with a new video highlighting the stunning natural landscapes that surround its campus.

Dr. John Rosicky, the Chair of Counseling and Human Services at East Campus, initiated the project in the spring of 2023. With immense effort over the subsequent months, Rosicky and volunteers successfully established more than a mile and a half of trails for the university and the local community.

"We're really excited about the trail system - it's going to allow students to get from place to place on campus a lot more directly," Rosicky said. "We have natural areas that we can take advantage of, and we want to make them, open them up so people can enjoy."

The pathways, clearly marked on campus maps, meander through picturesque woodlands offering views of Gwynns Falls, the historic Rosewood Center, and local wetlands.

As the trails gain popularity, the Stevenson Villager reports that talks are already underway to expand the network to provide students and faculty with even more nature-immersive routes in the future.
