OWINGS MILLS - The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) is opening doors to local small business owners with an innovative retail initiative. "The Collective" is seeking small business owners interested in selling their products and services at a new storefront at CCBC Owings Mills, situated in the bustling Owings Mills Metro Centre.

Funded by CCBC and the Ratcliffe Foundation, The Collective is scheduled to open later this fall. The storefront is designed as a tribute to the essence of collecting, showcasing a myriad of locally made products and services that reflect the diversity and spirit of our community's small businesses.

Embracing the ethos "Gather–Shop–Inspire," The Collective envisions itself as more than just a retail store. It aspires to be a community gathering spot, an inspiring post-meeting rendezvous, or a destination to explore the treasures of local businesses.

For product-based businesses, The Collective offers a chance to be spotlighted in its brick-and-mortar space at Metro Centre. This curated retail space targets shoppers seeking high-quality offerings from local businesses, ensuring makers are well-promoted both in-store and social media platforms.

Service-based businesses have a unique chance to shine online. The Collective's Online Showcase is designed to be a go-to directory for a broad range of services - from website designers and event planners to pet spas and architects. Featured businesses will be given a snapshot spotlight, ensuring their stories are told and a direct link to their respective websites.

The application and more details about The Collective are available on CCBC's website.
