Baltimore County Police Honor Corporal Samuel Snyder On 40th Anniversary Of His Passing

BALTIMORE COUNTY - On Wednesday, Baltimore County officers are honoring the 40th anniversary of the tragic passing of Corporal Samuel Snyder.

Corporal Snyder served for 30 years, dedicating his career to the safety and protection of Baltimore County residents. He lost his life four decades ago due to a gunshot wound sustained while responding to an emergency call at the Bel-Loc Diner on Joppa Road.

To honor his service and ultimate sacrifice, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department are donning memorial ribbon bars on their uniforms or wearing mourning bands on their badges.

Snyder's name, along with those of other officers who have died in the line of duty, is etched onto a monument located at Patriot Plaza in Towson, serving as a lasting tribute to their courage and service.
