OWINGS MILLS - Corey Isaiah Abney, a 28-year-old Owings Mills resident, was arrested on Monday following an alleged burglary incident in Glen Burnie, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Police stated that officers responded to reports of a break-in around 9:30 p.m. on Monday. According to police, Abney broke down an apartment door at the 300 block of Gatewater Court while wearing a ski mask and black sweatshirt.
Officials added that he escaped the scene in a gray Infiniti before law enforcement officers arrived but was successfully tracked and apprehended without additional confrontation.
During the arrest, authorities confiscated several items, including: "evidence pertinent to the burglary," cocaine, a digital weighing scale, transparent Ziploc sandwich bags, around $1,200 in cash, and Three mobile phones.
According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Abney has been "charged accordingly" to the crime.
