OWINGS MILLS - The Baltimore Ravens will hold auditions for new cheerleaders this month and marching band members next month.

The Ravens cheerleaders are a group of over 50 athletes comprising a dance and stunt team. The squad seeks to fill positions for dancers, female stunt flyers, and male stunt bases for the 2023 NFL season.

Cheerleader applications close on Thursday, March 2. Selected applicants will attend tryouts starting on Saturday, March 4, at Merritt Club’s downtown location in Baltimore City. Walk-in applicants will not be accepted.

Judges will be looking for dance, stunt, and tumbling skills, along with personality and performance.

Applications to join Baltimore’s Marching Ravens will be accepted through Wednesday, March 29. Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 1, at Owings Mills High School. Walk-in applicants will not be accepted.

The Marching Ravens are the largest musical organization in the NFL, comprising more than 150 members. The ensemble seeks to fill all sections, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, mellophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, sousaphone, and multiple percussion positions.

All musicians are expected to have a background in reading music and marching.

Band members and cheerleaders will perform at all 10 Ravens home games and any potential home playoff games. The performers also attend events in the community and may have the opportunity to travel outside of the state or country to perform.
