BALTIMORE COUNTY - The Baltimore area was ravaged by frigid winter weather and blustering winds over the Christmas weekend.
According to BGE, the winter storm impacted more than 100,000 of its customers resulting in more than 1,500 repair jobs over the weekend. Many Marylanders went to bed on Christmas eve without power, heat, and water.
As BGE rushed to get the power back on for thousands of homes in Baltimore County, some families in Parkville were dealing with a different problem.
The power company says that 175 customers in Parkville were without heat due to a gas outage on Christmas eve as temperatures dropped below zero. Freezing weather caused several water mains to break, damaging nearby gas lines and other essential equipment.
As of 10:45 p.m. on December 25, BGE confirmed 99% of customers have had their service restored. The remaining customers should expect their power and heat to be back on by Monday evening.
BGE has advised customers to be patient as the company works around the clock to ensure power, water, and heat are restored.
I hope that the plan include walk paths, open spaces with seating to view nature and consequences for people littering, loitering and killing the wildlife.Â
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
