OWINGS MILLS - Two men were involved in an argument before the fatal stabbing at an Owings Mills Laundromat on Monday, according to charging documents.

29-year-old Julian Funderburk was arrested Monday for killing laundromat volunteer Jerry Lewis. Court documents state that Funderbunk told Lewis, “I’m going to get my knife and cut your head off,” before commencing the assault.

Police say that Funderburk told them Lewis had “disrespected him.”

Court documents state that Funderburk threatened Lewis and retrieved two kitchen knives and a makeshift knife before returning to the laundromat. Surveillance video shows Funderburk stabbing Lewis outside, then chasing him inside, where the assault continued.

Baltimore County Police say Funderburk fled the scene, but was found a short time later in possession of two kitchen knives, a makeshift knife, and covered in blood.

Charging documents did not state what the fight was about, and police are still searching

The police was called several times about the killer weeks before that stabbing happened. The killer would threaten the woman working there. The police never responded to any of the calls leading up to the day murder took place. No one could get the 911 dispatchers on the line which took 3 times to even get a hold of someone.
