Loaded Handgun Found In Randallstown High School Student's Backpack
RANDALLSTOWN - officers arrested a Randallstown High student today after a school resource officer found a loaded gun in his backpack, according to police.
A letter sent to parents said that Randallstown high school staff noticed a student acting suspiciously in the hallways and called a school resource officer to investigate. The officer searched the student’s bag and found a loaded handgun.
Police say the 16-year-old student was arrested without further incident.
This arrest marks the second time that police confiscated a gun at Baltimore County Schools this week. On Monday, officers arrested a 14 and 16-year-old outside of Chesapeake Highschool for possessing a handgun, according to police statements.
