New abuse charges are expected to be filed against a former Baltimore city police officer already facing more than 20 counts of sexually abusing children, prosecutors said.
James Weems Jr., 57, of Randallstown, is expected to be charged in connection with the sexual abuse of two girls, ages 12 and 10, according to prosecutors.
The abuse occurred at Lil Kidz Kastle Daycare Center during the four years Weems worked there, prosecutors said. Baltimore County Assistant State’s Attorney Zarena Sita said during a bail review hearing on Wednesday that police are in the process of interviewing 93 children who attended the daycare.
"The state does believe this defendant is a public safety risk," Sita said. "There are going to be additional charges."
Sexual abuse allegations against Weems first surfaced after he was shot by his wife in July, telling investigators her husband was a “child molester.”
Weems joined the Baltimore Police Department in 1996 and retired in 2005.
I hope that the plan include walk paths, open spaces with seating to view nature and consequences for people littering, loitering and killing the wildlife.
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
