OWINGS MILLS, MD — Police said two sex assaults in Owings Mills were reported in the last week, and now a suspect is in custody. A juvenile was charged as an adult with first and second-degree rape, kidnapping and armed robbery, police said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

The most recent assault occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

It happened less than 24 hours after another sexual assault, which occurred at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, officials said.

Both assaults occurred off Lakeside Boulevard, according to authorities, who said officers arrested the suspect while canvassing the vicinity. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
