REISTERSTOWN, MD – A new grocery store will be opening soon in Reisterstown.
Lidl is hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Aug. 31 in the Reisterstown Shopping Center, which is across the street from Franklin High School.
Once open, the store will provide an assortment of grocery items, including private-label products, gluten-free and organic offerings, fresh produce, flowers, bakery items, cheeses, cured meats and more.
Lidl has created 45 jobs for area residents with pay starting at $15.50 an hour, plus health care benefits for all positions, officials said.
The ribbon cutting will be at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
To celebrate its grand opening, the grocer is offering a few specials:
“I know that the residents of Owings Mills and Reisterstown are eager and excited about having a new shopping venue that provides fresh fruit, groceries and more to the area,” County Councilman Izzy Patoka said in a statement. "I am really pleased that together, working with the community and Greenberg Gibbons that we were able to attract a quality grocer like Lidl Food Market to the Reisterstown Shopping Center.”
Lidl will be at 11991 Reisterstown Road. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
I hope that the plan include walk paths, open spaces with seating to view nature and consequences for people littering, loitering and killing the wildlife.
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
