To commemorate the traditional feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi to remember and celebrate his love for all creatures, Baltimore Humane Society Memorial Park will hold our annual Blessing of the Pets.
Please join us this Sunday, October 1, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, for our second-annual Pet Blessing event for the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. Br. Connor Schmidt will be at the Baltimore Humane Society Memorial Park to perform an in-person pet blessing for all household pets. Please plan to arrive at 1 pm.
Brother Connor will be blessing the pets in attendance, as well as blessing the ashes of pets who have passed, for families who wish to bring them. The event will be held in-person and outdoors at the entrance to our historical cemetery.
All pets are welcome but small pets, cats and any pet who might become overwhelmed should be in a comfortable and secure pet carrier.
Families of all faiths are welcome! Pet blessings will take place at the entrance to our historical memorial park, located at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown. Some chairs and benches will be provided for those who are in line.
The event is free. Donations will be accepted. RSVPs are not required but are requested. All questions and RSVPs can be addressed to petlossconnect@bmorehumane.org.
We hope to see you there!
