ReplySMHM,
I have spoken to Councilman Marks, and he would be glad to speak with you about your concerns if you would please call his office and provide your real name. The way I understand this, is that the County Executive's office has all of the information, and the County Council does not become engaged until it is put forth to them to vote. I don't believe it has reached that stage yet.
Good luck in obtaining the information you seek. It seems to be a valid request.

ReplyI agree Tim. I think David is probably the most visible Councilman and attends many functions for his community. I also believe his intentions were sincere while campaigning, but severely underestimated the toll all of the County responsibilities would take on his own vehicle; and, taking a car after using his own for 2 years was most likely a last resort. I cannot fault him for that . But there is no excuse to be DUI - County car or not.

ReplyCouncilman Marks has been an outstanding Councilman and a champion for District 5. He did nothing illegal, but yet he is the one getting slammed. It pains me to hear fellow Council members publically putting one another down. It demonstrates a lack of class and will most likely come back to bite later. Whatever happened to Councilmanic Courtesy?

ReplyI respect your opinion, but believe children should be exposed to those less fortunate who are looking for warmth or a roof over their heads. They may be motivated to reach out and help.
School is more than just the 3 Rs. Socializing, interacting with diversity, teamwork and respect for others opinions and ideas are just some of the other benefits.
Erring on the side of safety is prudent.
Thank you.

OK. I am regretting getting involved with some narrow minded people. I am not related to David Marks in any way. Bryan Sears - you know perfectly well of my involvement with historic preservation on community issues, of which David has been so supportive. Does everyone think there is always an ulterior motive? I must apologize for my naivetee.
