Do you suppose we could get one of these career politicians to give us the answer to this question? The governor should be asked this question by someone in the media. Do you suppose we could get someone from the Maryland Gazette or the Sun Paper to ask Governor O'Malley about this?

ReplyWhile it is great to see the new county executive working hard to help Anne Arundel County, she should also realize that Senator Barbara Mikulski only stopped by for a photo-op. The Senator is about as left-wing as they get, and has never really represented the people of Anne Arundel County. I hope that by "working together" the county executive isn't referring to progressive left-wing social justice. In my opinion Anne Arundel County has been more about equal justice and prosperity for all. And isn't Senator Mikulski up for re-election in 2014? Enough with the photo-ops.

ReplyHillary founded the Center for American "Progress", Obama and O'Malley are progressives. They tax, spend more than they have, then tax some more. The problem is the spending is out of control and lacks accountability. And if you disagree, you are mean spirited, you want poor people to suffer, and you're a racist and live in a trailer park. The Maryland Progressive Forum just met in Annapolis on Monday, all of the State Senators and State Delegates who were invited were all DEMOCRATS. This is their agenda, they are smart and warm and fuzzy, they rest of us are talking points, to be bullied, berated and trashed. They monitor this website, and pounce anytime someone questions their agenda. Learn the difference between a democrat and a progressive.

Yes, that's just what we need, another eloquent speaker. One who practices in front of a mirror, speaks well, but says and does nothing. Will you be going to the Maryland Progressive Summit on Monday, sponsored by MoveOn. All of the state Senators and Delegates who have been invited are ALL democrats. Progressive democrats who believe in raising taxes and forcing big government on people, that sounds right up your alley. Tax and spend and impose.

You asked Whazat, about liberal progressives? Check out today's Patch, with the upcoming events. The MARYLAND PROGRESSIVE SUMMIT is being on the March 4, in Annapolis. All of the politicians named are DEMOCRATS. Or shall I say used to be Democrats.

ReplyLooked more like a campaign rally to me. Did I see an Obama 2012 campaign sign in that crowd? I wonder if those 85% polled, know that Maryland has strict gun laws already on the books. But what I'm really concerned about is if these people who showed up used their own transportation, or were they bused in? How many belonged to a union, and how many were local, state and federal employees?

ReplyThe governor says the federal government's dysfunction is coming from the House of Representatives?? Really. And the do nothing Senate and the White House have nothing to do with the dysfunction?? Just for those who may not know, our Congress is made up of two branches the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Senate hasn't passed a budget, in what 4 years, and our governor would like you to believe this has nothing to do with the sequester. Yet the House of Representatives have passed their own bills, that the Senate won't even bring to the floor for a vote. Sounds a lot like what goes on in Maryland. Executive Branch=President, Legislative Branch=House AND Senate, Judicial Branch=Supreme Court.

ReplyWhat a brilliant idea. Anne Arundel County Public Schools set aside 2.7 million, to be able to fund programs, like school breakfast, so they don't have to be disrupted by the federal "across the board cuts"(sequestration). The money is ready for transfer. And we can assume it's not being taken from the transportation fund, or any other essential funding mechanism, that's going to come up short later on down the "road". Evidently the public schools system is very well funded. I think the Governor and the President should maybe take a look at this brilliant idea, and put an end to all of this fear mongering over cutting the nations debt.

I don't think there are any democrats left in Maryland or DC. The liberal progressives have taken over the democrat party. Ideology has trumped common sense. And most people don't know the difference between a democrat and a progressive. The progressives will destroy this country to win, too bad they really are too stupid to realize there will be nothing left for them or anyone else when their done.

Senator Ben Cardin needs to change that D-MD, to a PD-MD. There are no democrats left, only progressives disguised as democrats. He's going to wait till after the sequestration takes effect to do something about it? This is to give the appearance that he and the rest of the progressives in DC have saved us all from the big bad conservatives. How sad, their political agenda's are more important to them then our country.
