Well said Tom, I have been saying that for years. The state plants large plantings in the middle of Ritchie highway, that I can't afford to buy for my own home, yet they can afford to do it with money collected from various taxpayers. Drive down College parkway, the plantings look terrible in 10 years because they are barely maintained. Plus cars crash into them all of the time or they die and then it looks ridiculous because they never have the money to replace the ones that are destroyed. I don't need brick facades on my bridges...here again, I couldn't afford that when I had my house built, so how can the State afford it?

Bottom line is we need to pay a lawyer to read every contract we enter into and based on the going rate for lawyers, you can't afford it. So, reading between the lines, you can't afford to live in this country. Same with the tax code, it is so complicated, most of us need to pay a CPA to do simple taxes, doesn't make any sense. Does life have to be this complicated for the average citizen?

I hate to agree with W.L. but if you've looked at the BGE outage map for Arnold/Broadneck Peninsula the past (4) years at every event, the picture is not pretty. All you have to do is see how many people own generators in our vicinity you have to ask why so many people feel the need to own one. Three long term outages in 12 months, that's a bad track record. You can blame the storms or you can speak to relatives in PA, VA, DE, and see how long they lost power. The excuses get old...bottom line, BGE doesn't have enough soldiers to get the job done, they are top heavy thanks to Constellation Energy.
