River Hill Wins Franklin Invitational Wrestling Tournament (Video)

Here are the results of this past weekend's annual Franklin Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

The Franklin Invitational Wrestling Tournament was held this past weekend at Franklin High School in Reisterstown. River Hill High School won the title of tournament champions, with Owings Mills High School coming in 2nd and Franklin High coming in 8th place. Baltimore Fight Club Writes New Rules

Reisterstown MMA club wants to offer something its competitors do not.

The first rule of Fight Club is not to talk about Fight Club. Yet that may be exactly what the approximately 15 women of Baltimore Fight Club's cardio-boxing class want to do. Mingling cardio workouts with self-defense skills, owner Sergiy Kononov doesn't want the club to be intimidating, but instead says he offers a learning facility that appeals to all demographics. "I want to teach [them] skills," said Kononov. On a one-inch foam floor mat, a women's cardio-boxing class gathered, Wednesday evening in the last free twice-a-week class of a month-long trial period. This was an interesting article and title how can "fight club" claim to write new rules when the self proclaimed owner is not even a recognized martial artist in any style. To own a Martial Arts Center you should be required to have a lead rank in Martial Arts and/or that of your instructors, to be able to offer programs and conduct a class. Owings Mills, Pritzker Aim to Continue Winning Tradition

For his 28th season, Guy Pritzker presides over a wrestling program that has made a name for itself in Maryland. This year's squad is ranked No. 7 in the Baltimore Sun's preseason poll.

When Guy Pritzker arrived at Owings Mills High School nearly three decades ago in 1983, faculty and staff assumed they had hired a math instructor adept at teaching concepts involving quadratic equations and absolute value expressions. However, the athletic department was unaware that this algebra teacher also intended on perfecting a formula that would equate to a powerhouse wrestling program that has dominated in the state of Maryland for nearly a generation.  Embarking on his 28th season as head wrestling coach at Owings Mills, Pritzker has amassed 11 state, 25 region and 14 county championships.   He's produced a remarkable 28 individual state champions and his 433 overall wins are the most of any active coach in Baltimore County.   …

it is no surprise to me that Guy Pritzker is still kicking major ass in math and wrestling alike.
