Report: Armed Robbers Steal Wallet, Rental Mazda

A Garrison man was robbed near his home.

A resident of Hartley Circle in Garrison was robbed at gunpoint last week outside his home. At about 11:10 p.m., May 9, a man pointed a blue-steel, automatic handgun at him and stole his wallet, cell phone, car keys, and a rental car -- a four-door Mazdaspeed 6, according to a report by Baltimore County police. The robber and an accomplice, both males wearing ski masks and dark-colored clothing, sped away in the car toward Pittsfield Circle, the report said.

Robber Borrows Phone, Fails To Snatch Purse

Criminal runs, empty-handed, after woman screams.

A woman let a stranger use her cell phone, but her screams prevented him from snatching her purse. At 2:23 p.m. Friday, a man came up to a woman near her apartment in the 8000 block of Township Drive in Garrison and asked to use her phone. She let him, and he returned it. Then "he tried to snatch her purse," a report by Baltimore County police states. "After the victim began screaming, the suspect took off running and was unable to steal her purse," it states. He left without stealing anything.

Baltimore Man Arrested for Attempted Citgo Robbery

A Baltimore man was charged with attempted robbery after he tried to steal money from the Main Street Citgo.

A 27-year-old Baltimore man is charged with attempted robbery after he demanded money at the Citgo on Main Street in Reisterstown on Feb. 20. Temitope Olowolayemo, of the 3300 block of Dudley Avenue, entered the Citgo, at 525 Main Street, with his hand hidden in his waist band and demanded money. The clerk did not comply, and Olowolayemo left as other patrons entered the store, according to a police report. Olowolayemo was identified through investigation and arrested later that day, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander at the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct. Two men robbed the Citgo in December, stealing money that was on a shelf below the register.

3 Men Accused of Robbing 24 Area Convenience Stores

The trio allegedly held up Royal Farms, 7-Eleven and High's stores in the city and the county.

(UPDATED, 1:14 p.m.)—Three men have been arrested and charged with robbing 24 convenience stores in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. The men were arrested following a high-speed pursuit into Baltimore County after robbing two convenience stores in North Baltimore. They were taken into custody in a parking garage at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson. "There is no doubt that these three men would have continued victimizing businesses and store employees if our robbery detectives in the County and the City had not used solid police work to put the pieces together, and then relentlessly pursued this case," Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson said in the news release. Robber Swings Knife at Pedestrian

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Robbers grabbed a Baltimore man and threatened him with a knife Saturday while he was in Owings Mills. At about 6:45 p.m., two men grabbed him from behind in the unit block of Hamlet Drive, and told him to "kick it out!" The victim fought, and saw one of the men "swinging what appeared to be a knife," according to a report by Baltimore County police. A vehicle passed by, startling the robbers who ran behind the homes on Hamet Drive, the report states. Nothing was stolen in the incident.

2 Franklin High Students Charged in Robbery, Attempted Robbery of Student

A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old student were charged in two incidents that occurred at Franklin High on Friday.

Two Franklin High students are charged with robbing and attempting to rob another student at the school on Friday. A 17-year-old student is charged with robbery and a 15-year-old is charged with attempted robbery and possessing a weapon on school property, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct. At 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, a 17-year-old student robbed another 17-year-old student of $10 in the boys bathroom. At 2:45 p.m., that same suspect and a 15-year-old student tried to rob the same victim in the school’s hallway. Gunman Tried to Rob Owings Mills Home of Drugs, Money, Jewelry

The suspect was unsuccessful, and disappeared while chasing one of the home’s residents.

An armed man tried to rob to Owings Mills residents in their home on Dec. 27, but left the scene empty handed. The suspect entered a home on the unit block of Garrison Ridge Court in Owings Mills through an open door at 7 a.m. and produced a handgun. He demanded drugs, money and jewelry, and when the victims didn’t give him any of the items, the suspect asked for towels so he could shoot one of the victims, according to a Baltimore County Police report. One of the victims ran out of the house, the suspect chased him and then disappeared. Nobody was hurt, said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct.

Teen Shot in Gywnn Oak Treated and Released

A 15-year-old was shot during a robbery on Dec. 29, according to Baltimore County Police.

A 15-year-old male was treated and released for a gunshot wound he suffered during a robbery, Baltimore County Police said. Just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29., Baltimore County Police responded to an incident near Windsor Mill Road and Meadowview Drive in Gwynn Oak, where they found a 15-year-old male with one gunshot wound to his upper body. The teen told police he was shot during a robbery by two suspects, according to a Baltimore County Police press release. The 15-year-old has since been treated for his injuries and released. Police searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspects, the release said.

Woman Charged in Owings Mills Parking Lot Incident

Carole Sue Bassette was arrested on Dec. 18 in connection with an attempted robbery in the Owings Mills Square parking lot.

A 27-year-old woman is charged with second-degree assault and robbery in connection with a November incident in the Owings Mills Square parking lot. Carole Sue Bassette, of no fixed address, was arrested on Dec. 18 when police saw her panhandling in the 10000 block of Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. She was charged on a warrant and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson after her bail hearing, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct. Air Jordans Stolen from Teens in Mall Robbery

One teen was assaulted and both he and his companion were robbed of their Nike Air Jordans shoes.

Two teens were robbed of high-priced shoes and a backpack on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Owings Mills Mall. One of the teens was hit in the face during the robbery, according to a Baltimore County Police report. No weapon was used during the robbery. The two victims, both age 17, met up with two suspects at the Owings Mills Mall around 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 8 to exchange shoes. As they walked through the parking lot, one of them was hit in the face and had his backpack stolen, which contained a pair of Nike Air Jordans, valued at $175. The other victim gave up a bag he was holding, which contained a pair of Air Jordan 9 Johnny Kilroy shoes, valued at $160, according to the police report.
