The toddler who was airlifted to John Hopkins Friday night after falling three stories has been treated and released.
UPDATED 4 p.m. April 2 A 2-year-old who fell 30 feet from an apartment window in Owings Mills has been released from the hospital, officials said Monday afternoon. The boy was airlifted by a Maryland State Police helicopter around 7 p.m. Friday after falling out of an apartment window on Shadowood Court. He had been treated and released as of Monday afternoon, according to Kim Hoppe, a Johns Hopkins spokesperson. “We were told initially that it was non-life threatening injuries,” said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct. “The boy fell from the window and walked back into the house. Batman was allegedly about to do a good deed when he was driving his black Lamborghini and got pulled over. Dressed in his crime-fighting garb, he was on his way to visit children in a hospital Wednesday, March 21, when when Montgomery County police noticed his vehicle had no tags, according to an MSN.com report. School’s out for the summer in Baltimore County, and many students are eagerly heading off for vacation and going to local summer camps. With its renovations complete, Owings Mills Elementary will hold a camp. New Town and Timber Grove will also hold camps, though the latter already has a full roster. This is the first time there will be programming at all three facilities, said Clinton Jennifer, the Owings Mills community recreation supervisor. “This has been a busier summer than in the past,” Jennifer said. A community pool in Owings Mills has twice been the target of burglars this week, according to a report by Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville. Between 8 p.m., June 23 and 11:25 a.m., June 24, the pool owned by Queene Anne Village Homeowners Association, was vandalized. Sometime overnight, someone threw chairs, trash cans and a plant into the pool, the report states. The plant was destroyed, but nothing was missing. This same pool was first burglarized sometime between 2:15 p.m., June 21 and 11:30 a.m., June 22. In that incident, a worker found that several lawn chairs, a table and trash can had been thrown into the pool, according to police. No property was destroyed.

Two cars set on fire in separate incidents in Owings Mills last week were the work of arsonists. Lt. J. Landsman of Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville said the incidents were forwarded to the county Arson Team in Towson for further investigation. Each separate incident was second-degree arson, according to reports from Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville. In the first incident, a 2002 Ford van was reported on fire in the 8600 block of Park Heights Avenue in Owings Mills at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set, according to a police report. Charges are pending in alleged assault at Owings Mills Walmart.
An argument between coworkers over a microwave in the employee break room left a man bruised, swollen and in need of stitches. The incident began at about 2:10 a.m. Saturday at Walmart, 9720 Reisterstown Road, in Owings Mills. The coworkers argued. One employee allegedly threw an unopened can of soda that hit her coworker's head. The woman then allegedly punched her male coworker in the head and face, causing bruises and swelling, according to a police report on the incident. The victim had to get nine stitches to his upper lip, and his dentures were broken, the report states. Charges are pending, according to the report.

More than 300 students and community members gathered Friday in the gym at Stevenson University's Owings Mills campus for its Relay for Life event.
Editor's note: This article has been corrected to reflect the history of the Relay for Life event in Owings Mills. Students at Stevenson University brought a nightlong tradition of charity back to life Friday. Senior Blaire Zeitler and sophomore Nick Farano helped organize one of the largest student-only run events at the university to date, with the fundraiser being touch and go in Owings Mills for the last few years. The overnight event lasted into the wee hours of Saturday morning, uniting hundreds in support of the American Cancer Society.
