Local Mega Millions Winner 'In Denial'

The $26 million ticket came from Howard County. The 48-year-old retiree is going to the beach.

That didn’t take long.  The Mega Millions Jackpot winner has come forward, just two days after the Maryland Lottery announced that the winning ticket had been sold in Howard County. A grandmother of two, the winner said she plans to buy a house or two, according to a statement released by the Maryland Lottery.  Preferably on the beach. “This will be the first time anyone from our family has ever owned a home,” the winner told Lottery officials.
