New Development Bets on Owings Mills Growth

Groveton Green Apartments, which is in line to be the first Gold LEED certified development in Owings Mills, held a grand opening ceremony Thursday afternoon.

The Fore Property Company has been waiting a long time to invest in Owings Mills. “We have been wanting to come to Owings Mills for 25 years,” said Fred Karem, a partner with Fore. He was joined by elected officials and business leaders at a ribbon cutting for Groveton Green Apartments, a new community which is on track to become the first Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified development in Owings Mills. “This represents a $35 million private investment in Baltimore County,” said County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. He was joined by Councilwoman Vicki Almond, Councilman Ken Oliver and Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brian Ditto in Thursday’s ribbon cutting ceremony.
