The Franklin Invitational Wrestling Tournament was held this past weekend at Franklin High School in Reisterstown. River Hill High School won the title of tournament champions, with Owings Mills High School coming in 2nd and Franklin High coming in 8th place. The Baltimore Sun recognized two Franklin students among the best in the region.
The Baltimore Sun released its all-metro football teams on Saturday, Dec. 8, and two athletes from Franklin High School were named to the teams, which encompass the best school athletes in the Baltimore area. Senior Reggie Ellis was named to the first-team offense, picked for his impressive stats and being a clutch player. Senior Brady Orem was named to the second-team offense. The Sun’s other picks for the fall all-metro teams, including boys and girls soccer, field hockey, volleyball and boys and girls cross country, can be found here.

Franklin takes on Perry Hall Friday night.
The Franklin Indians take on the Perry Hall Gators in football Friday at Dr. Clarence E. McWilliams Stadium at Franklin High School at 7:00 p.m. The Indians, with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss, lost to Perry Hall, who are 5 and 3, last minute in last year's game. Franklin Athletic officials recommend getting to the game early since they expect a sell-out crowd.
