Earl Weaver's sudden death at 82 years old has rocked the Baltimore area and baseball aficionados nationwide. Weaver died around 2 a.m. Saturday while on board an Orioles fantasy cruise in the Caribbean. His wife, Marianna, was at his side when he succumbed to a heart attack, the New York Daily News reported. The news broke while many fans were headed to the Orioles' annual FanFest at the Baltimore Convention Center, across the street from Camden Yards. Weaver's career and what he meant to Baltimore was on the lips of many fans and players. Weaver's No. 4 hung above the discussion panel stage, and his jersey was posted on the left side of the stage.
