Here are some fun things to do around town with the family this weekend.

Franklin High's Second Winter Concert a Special Night for Students

Franklin's concert and symphonic bands and percussion ensemble performed at the school's second winter concert Monday night.

Franklin High School's December 20 concert was a special night for senior Noni Bell. She had her first solo in the eight years she's been playing flute near the end of the symphonic band's performance. Other students, like senior Jarreau Taylor, were excited about the night for different reasons. The senior percussionist, also in his eighth year as a musician (he started on saxophone), said the night was special to him because of "Shockafunk," the percussion ensemble's number featuring a drum line with marching band instruments.
