13-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Robbery, Assault

An Owings Mills teen was charged in an incident that sent an 18-year-old Baltimore man to the hospital.

A 13-year-old Owings Mills boy is charged with attempted robbery and assault after he hospitalized an 18-year-old. The teen pulled a knife on the 18-year-old in an attempt to rob him on Friday, May 10, at 4:14 p.m., behind the Giant store at 9730 Groffs Mill Drive. After putting the knife away, the boy assaulted him. The man was sent to Sinai Hospital for non-life-threatening facial injuries, said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin precinct. Gunman Attempts to Rob Pizza Boli’s

An armed man tried to rob Pizza Boli’s in Reisterstown, but fled the scene with no success.

A man armed with a handgun tried to rob Pizza Boli’s in Reisterstown, but fled the scene empty-handed after an employee refused to give him money. A suspect entered the pizza shop on Dec. 27 at 11:15 p.m., pointed the gun at a cashier and demanded money, but the cashier refused to give him any money. The suspect tried to leave the scene, and the employee grabbed him in an attempt to keep him from leaving. The suspect struck the victim with the gun and fled, according to a police report. The cashier was treated at Northwest Hospital for minor injuries, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct.

Warrant Out for Attempted Robbery in Owings Mills Square Parking Lot

Baltimore County Police have a warrant out for the arrest of Carole Sue Bassette in an attempted robbery in the parking lot at Owings Mills Square.

Baltimore County Police have a warrant for the arrest of a woman accused of attempted robbery. Carole Sue Bassette, 27, of no fixed address, is wanted for second-degree assault and attempted robbery after she banged on the car door of an 18-year-old and demanded money in the parking lot of Owings Mills Square on Nov. 18, according to police. At 6:10 p.m. on Nov. 18, an 18-year-old female was in the parking lot of the shopping center, which includes Best Buy and Chick-fil-A, when Bassette started banging on her car door, tried to open the door and said “give me your f***ing money,” according to a police report. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to rob the Royal Farms in Reisterstown on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Attempted Armed Robbery at New Town Rite Aid

A man armed with a black semi-automatic handgun demanded money from a Rite Aid cashier, but fled the scene when a manager came to the front of the store.

An armed man attempted to rob the Rite Aid in Owings Mills on Monday, Nov. 12. The man walked into the store on Lakeside Boulevard in New Town, at 5:29 a.m., displayed a black handgun, demanded money from the cashier, money from the safe and to see the manager, according to a Baltimore County police report. When the manager came to the front of the store, the suspect left. Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.

Teen Sent To Hickey for Attempted Armed Robbery

A 15-year-old Gywnn Oak resident was charged with attempted robbery and sent to the Charles Hickey School in Parkville after he tried to rob an Owings Mills beauty shop.

A Gwynn Oak teenager is charged as a juvenile after he tried to rob an Owings Mills beauty shop with a pellet gun Monday. The 15-year-old walked into Beauty 2 U on Groffs Mill Drive in Owings Mills Monday at 3:55 p.m. and pulled a gun on the manager, according to a press release. The manager tried to wrestle the gun away from the teen, who fled the store. Police spotted the teen and chased him to the back of New Town High School and arrested him. Police recovered the pellet gun, which closely resembles a handgun. The 15-year-old is being detained at the Charles Hickey School in Parkville.
