We had our children enrolled here for almost 2 years. The center recently changed owners.
My son came home and told me his teacher "hit" him during circle time because he was talking to his friend.
The teacher confirmed the story, but used the word "tap"
The director, Ms. Debbie, refused to acknowledge the seriousness of this incident. She did NOTHING to make me feel that my child would be safe. She suggested, simply, that my child change classrooms.
The difference between a "tap" and a "hit" is debatable. The fact that my child said he was "afraid" of his teacher is not. Ms. Debbie is grossly negligent for ignoring the safety and feelings of the children at the center.
While some of the teachers there were excellent and very kind (we loved our daughter's teacher!) as long as the director, Ms. Debbie, is in charge you cannot ensure that your children will be cared for. I would NOT recommend this center as long as Ms. Debbie is there. It is because of the way Ms. Debbie handled this situation that I have to give the center a rating of 1 star only.

My daughter attended this school from the time she was eight months old until the time she was 4. She "graduated" from My Second Home and loved every teacher she had there. I would highly recommend this school. My daughter is now going to be in second grade and is in the highest reading group at Franklin.
