Shadow and Reba are the Pets of the Week

Shadow and Reba are this week's Pets of the Week. There is also a big group of pet in the Lonely Hearts Club looking for a home.

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Shadow and Reba. Here's what they each have to say--

Shadow:

Hello. My name is Shadow and I am a four-and-a-half-year-old Pit Bull Mix. I was originally brought to BHS due to landlord issues, got adopted a couple months ago, and have been brought back again. I love food, toys and going for walks. I am also dog selective -- I would love to be the only animal in the home so I can get all the attention! Recently, I have had issues with not being bothered while I am eating so please keep this in mind and understand that because of this I cannot go home with any children. Children sometimes like to take food from animals and this is not a good idea for me. Actually, it isn’t a good thing to do with any dog, but I am just letting you know about me. If you are interested in me, please fill out an application first and speak with our adoption counselors. Thanks and I hope to see you soon.

Reba:

Hello. My name is Reba and I am a sweetheart who was brought to BHS because my owner could no longer care for me. I enjoy laying on soft cat beds and playing with furry toy mice. I am super nice and would love to find a forever home where I can feel loved and safe and warm. If you have the home for me please visit BHS soon.

The adoption fee for Shadow is $165, and $105 for Reba. Plus get a free bag of starter food!

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
