Pluto and Sicily are the Pets of the Week

Pluto and Sicily are the Pets of the Week.

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Pluto and Sicily. Here's what they each have to say--

Pluto:

Hello! My name is Pluto. Once I thought I was in a forever home, but I was brought to BHS because my previous guardians moved away and didn't take me with them. Even so, I am an extremely happy, energetic and fun loving guy who enjoys people. I lived with young children in my previous home. I love them so much, I may try to jump or sit on them (whoops!), but just nicely tell me "no" and I will stop. Although I have a lot of energy, I am still a lap dog at heart. I would love to sit with my new family and watch TV together! My back left leg was broken at some point and because it was not fixed, I hold it up a lot. I may have been abused in a previous home, but we are not entirely sure. In any case, this does NOT slow me down at all.  I’ve also been injured by a couple other dogs, so I am understandably "dog selective." If you have another dog, the staff can just schedule a meet-and-greet between us to see how we get along. Please consider adding me to your family! I truly believe I am a great family dog. Let me show you a lifetime of love that is out of this world!

Sicily:

Hi! My name is Sicily. I was brought to BHS with my sister, Simkah, because our previous guardian could no longer give us the care we deserve. I'm an independent girl who wouldn't really be considered a "lap cat," but I’m very inquisitive and would make a lovely companion for you to come home to at the end of a long day! If you're looking for a special lady friend with whom to share your heart and home, please look no further! Stop by soon. I can't wait to meet you!

The adoption fee for Pluto is $165 and $52.50 for Sicily. Plus get a $5 off Hills Science Diet pet food coupon!

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
