Little Mama and Ra Are Pets of the Week

Little Mama and Ra are the Pets of the Week.

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Little Mama and Ra. Here's what they each have to say--

Little Mama:

Hi, there! My name is Little Mama. One day I walked into a nice lady's yard with a big rope tied around my neck. You could tell that I had just given birth, but unfortunately, my puppies weren't found. Nobody knows much about my past, but I was pretty scared at first; and sometimes I'm still a bit timid with some of the men I come in contact with. However, I continue to relax day by day, and I really enjoy going for long walks and playing with the staff members here in our play room! I chase tennis balls, and my favorite toys are squeaky toys. I'm a really active girl and am working on basic manners; I'd love to show off some of my skills, and continue lessons with my new family! No one is quite sure how I might interact with other dogs so if you have another dog, the staff would schedule a meet-and-greet between us to see if we'll get along. Sometimes I can get a bit over-stimulated, which can cause me to be a little mouthy at times; so if you have children, it would probably be best if they're eight years or older. I'm a good girl in need of a loving, safe forever home. In return, I'll give you a lifetime of love and affection! I can't wait for us to begin our happy ever after!

Ra:

Hello. My name is Ra and I was brought to BHS in a trap because I was found out in the wild on a farm. I was terrified when I came here and am still a bit scared. So please give me some time and be patient with me when we meet. Being in a cage is still very new to me; I like to hide in and under boxes . Even though I am shy, I hope you can see that I am still beautiful and deserving of a home. Please stop by to meet me. Thank you.

The adoption fees are waived for both Little Mama and Ra!!  Plus both get a free bag of starter food!

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
