Evie and Bacardi Are the Pets of the Week

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Evie and Bacardi.

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Evie and Bacardi. Here's what they each have to say--

Evie:

Hello! My name is Evie, and this is actually my second time through BHS. You see, I was actually adopted, but recently returned because my previous home just wasn't the best fit for me; the people lacked the time and space that I needed. They did have a trainer come out to work with me, and all of that information is available. I am a good dog who loves people. I enjoy going for walks, but need to wear a harness and be walked by people who can handle how strong I am. I also love having my tummy rubbed and getting lots of attention! I'm not really nuts about other dogs, so I prefer to be the only dog in your life. What can I say - I just want you all to myself! I, like lots of dogs, am possessive of my food while eating, so for this reason it is necessary for me to be in a home where the kids are at least 12 years old and can understand not to bother me at mealtime. I'm a sweet girl who just really wants to find a cat-free forever home! If you have experience with larger, stronger dogs such as Rottweilers, all the better! Think you could be the one for me? Please stop by soon! I can't wait to meet you!

Bacardi:

Hey there. I'm Bacardi! I was left on BHS property so no one knows much about my past. I'm a friendly guy who loves to play. Sometimes I don't even need toys because I like to play with my own tail and paws. I'm a big goof ball! Like any typical kitty I like to snuggle in a nice soft cat bed. :) I'm an all around great kitty that's looking for my forever home. Could that be you?! Please ask a staff member to visit with me in our cat room. I'm sure I'll melt your heart.

The adoption fee for Evie is $75 and $105 for Bacardi. Plus get a $5 off Hills Science Diet pet food coupon!

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
