Charger and Sonny Are the Pets of the Week

Charger and Sonny are the pets of the week.

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Charger and Sonny. Here's what they each have to say--

Charger:

Hi there. My name is Charger and I am believed to be a Border Collie/Lab Mix.  My previous owner brought me and my housemate to BHS because he lost his home (my housemate is not available for adoption just yet). I am a sweet dog who can be very timid and stand-offish at first, but a lot of fun to be around once I get to know you. I enjoy running around in the BHS play yard and playing with stuffed animals. I will carry them around and play tug of war with you. I have lived with a female dog and been around other dogs in my previous home. Supposedly I either ignore other dogs or am gentle or submissive with them. I have never been around cats so if you have one, I can be cat tested. I’m a pretty calm dog and have either ignored or been gentle with kids when around them so bring your children for us to meet! I have not had any accidents in my run so housetraining will probably not be an issue. Please consider coming to meet me if you are looking for a family dog to add to your household.

Sonny:

Hello. My name is Sonny and I am a beautiful long haired cat who was brought to BHS because our owner’s cat unexpectedly had kittens. I am super sweet and enjoy being around people. I did have a sister, Cher, but she was already adopted. I would love to find a forever home where I can be loved and held and spoiled. Furry mice, toy cat balls, and catnip are pretty fun so if you adopt me please keep these things in mind. Hope to see you soon.

The adoption fee for Charger is $165, and $105 for Sonny. Plus both get a free bag of starter food!

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
