The Baltimore Ravens have been in training camp for over a week now in their facility in Owings Mills. And now it's going to be time for them to start playing some games.
Next Thursday, the Ravens will go to the Atlanta Falcons for the opener of the four-game pre-season. The Ravens are scheduled to play one more road game -- on Aug. 30 in St. Louis -- and two home contests.
They take on the Detroit Lions Aug, 17 and the Jacksonville Jaguars six days later at M&T Bank Stadium. The first game is scheduled for 8 p.m., the second begins at 7:30.
This is the first time the Ravens have done their entire training camp in Owings Mills at their base facility, newly re-named the Under Armour Performance Center.
They always held training camp at McDaniel College in Westminster since coming to town in 1996 until last year. The lock-out in the NFL cut training camp time down, and the Ravens stayed in Owings Mills.
After that, they decided to come back there in the summer.
The only problem with that move is it makes it much harder for fans to come in and see. To that end, the Ravens are going to hold a practice at M&T Bank Stadium Saturday afternoon at 5.
