New Town High School could earn itself more than $100,000 worth in apparel and athletic equipment with a little help from the community.
The school is competing in the Under Armour Finding Undeniable contest, the first round of which wraps up on Nov. 20. The winning school earns $140,000 worth in uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories.
Schools earn points through challenges that must be completed and posted online and by gaining supporters. The challenges include shout-outs from professional athletes, plays of the week, school sign and school bling. ‘Newsworthy,’ a mention in local media, is also one of the challenges. Visit New Town’s contest page to become a supporter.
New Town is currently ranked 14th overall and 1st in Maryland. After round one wraps up on Nov. 20, the top four teams and four wild card teams move on to round two.
