O'Malley Declares State of Emergency in Maryland for Hurricane Sandy

The governor signed the order Friday morning.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley Friday morning signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency for all Maryland counties in advance of Hurricane Sandy, the effects of which are expected to reach the state as early as Sunday.

"As Hurricane Sandy makes its way north, I urge all Maryland residents to prepare for extreme weather," O'Malley said in a statement.

"I urge all Marylanders to review their family emergency plans, make sure their emergency supplies like batteries and water are fully stocked and to stay informed."

With the declaration comes the authority to activate the Maryland National Guard and "provide assistance to local emergency managers," according to the statement.

directions on how to opt out here http://marylandsmartmeterawareness.org/opt-out-news/option-to-defer-smart-meters/ Fyi, the psc sent me a letter back when i opted out that there were no studies done on Smartmeters health impacts except a small short term utlity funded company study and that there were no plans for more research. sigh... Surely public health is more important than this! a Class 2 b carcinogen on your wall. only because research is in its infancy! more is on its way.. i imagine if the IARC had come out with its opinion before they started manufacting these devices the companies would have stopped but in 2011 they were in deep. They will defend it to no end now. Just as they have for EMFs from high voltage lines. Want to read some depressing stuff read about that!

Spread the word. Education is our only defense. The brain shows changes with the absorption of this radiation. Not much more is needed to convince me to take precautions.
