Reisterstown Crime: Guns, Hershey Bar, Guitar Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Reisterstown Road. 11900 block. 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 25. An unarmed robber approached a 15-year-old, assaulted him, stole his Hershey bar and ran away.

Old Hanover Pike. 13000 block. 11:38 p.m. on Nov. 30. A suspect dug up a copper ground wire near a BGE tower behind the Reisterstown Lumber Company.

Piney Grove Road. 4200 block. Between 7 a.m. on Nov. 29 and 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 30. A burglar broke into the home and stole two TVs and a guitar.

Dover Road. 14800 block. Between 12 p.m. on Nov. 28 and 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 30. A burglar stole a jewelry box containing various pieces of jewelry.

Sunbrook Road. 500 block. Between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. A burglar stole $100 cash and a handgun, possibly an old-style revolver, after forcing open the back door and ransacking the home.

Delight Road. 100 block. Between 9:45 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Nov. 28. A burglar stole two TVs, two pillow cases, two gift cards, a non-activated cell phone and assorted jewelry after entering through the rear door, which was not damaged. The homeowner told police the door was locked.

Norgulf Road. 300 block. Between 6 p.m. on Nov. 26 and 4 a.m. on Nov. 27. A burglar stole a 9mm Makarov pistol, a 357-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, a gold watch, jewelry and $50 cash after entering the home through an unlocked side window and leaving through a back sliding door.

Tarragon Road. 12000 block. Between 5 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 26. A burglar stole a washer, dryer and coins from change machines out of an apartment building’s laundry room.

Townleigh Road. 300 block. Between 6:45 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 26. A burglar tried to enter the home by prying open a small kitchen window using a tool taken from the victim’s shed.

Sacred Heart Lane. 200 block. Between 6 p.m. and 8:25 p.m. on Nov. 26. A burglar entered the fenced-in backyard, unscrewed a rear floodlight and opened the basement sliding door. The alarm sounded and no property was taken.

Bond Avenue. 300 block. Between 7 a.m. on Nov. 21 and 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 26. A burglar opened kitchen cabinets, but did not take any property after entering the home though an unlocked sliding door.
