Baltimore County Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man who at 9300 Lakeside Boulevard in Owings Mills on Monday, Aug. 27.
Surveillance photographs (attached to this article) show a black male, approximately 24 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build, a full beard and a tattoo of a cross under his right eye. He was armed with a black handgun.
On Aug. 27, at 11:08 p.m., the man entered the gas station's conveninece store and purchased some items, according to a police report. He waited in the store until other customers left and then produced the handgun and demanded money. He took $300 to $400 in cash and rolled coins in a black bag and fled on foot.
This was the fifth of , four of which police believe are connected. The Sunoco incident may or may not be connected to the others since the suspect and gun description differs, police said. Last week's in Owings Mills is also probably not connected with the others, according to Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the .
“It is a high number for us in a short time period, so we’ve been trying a couple of things,” he said. “We don’t want to be specific, [but] we have been devoting resources to the trend.”
