Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to rob the Royal Farms in Reisterstown on Wednesday, Nov. 21. (see surveillance photos)
The man, who was not armed, brought a pack of gum up to the counter of the store, located at 15 Hanover Road, at 2:20 a.m. on Nov. 21, according to a police report.
“When the clerk opened the register he tried to grab the money, but she struggled with him,” Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct. “He wasn’t able to get anything and fled the store.”
One employee suffered two minor cuts to her hand as she and the suspect struggled over possession of the register, according to a police report.
“There was another employee inside who was in the back, and he came towards the front and might have scared him off,” Doarnberger said.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587).
