The recent string of commercial robberies, which has seen six businesses robbed at gunpoint since August 8, is the the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct has seen since 2010.
Police believe five of the six incidents may be connected, but the recent robbery of in Owings Mills is a separate incident.
It’s the precinct’s first commercial robbery trend in two years.
“It is a high number for us in a short time period, so we’ve been trying a couple of things,” said Lt. Stephen Doarnberger, assistant commander of the . “We don’t want to be specific, [but] we have been devoting resources to the trend.”
Police charged two men in four bank robberies between August 2 and September 9 in 2010. The men robbed in Owings Mills on August 2, in Reisterstown on and the Regal Bank & Trust again on August 20 and Farmers & Merchants Bank in Upperco on September 9.
Joseph Michael Dixon, 34, of Gywnn Oak, and Lutrell Thomas Williams, 36, of Baltimore, were charged in the incidents.
Police are still looking for suspects in the recent commercial robberies, which took place at the in Owings Mills, the in Owings Mills, in Owings Mills, in Owings Mills as well as Bare Feet Shoes. were released by police on Monday.
