Police Blotter: Copper Pipes, Welding Leads Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

First-Degree Burglary. 200 block of Oliver Heights Road in Owings Mills. 3:40 p.m., Oct. 16. A burglar ransacked the house after forcing open the rear door. Nothing was reported missing. A child came from school and thought he heard someone in the house, so he left the area and called police from a friend’s house.

Second-Degree Burglary. 5000 block of Painters Mill Road in Owings Mills. Between 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. A burglar stole copper pipes from a trailer after prying open its side door.

Second-Degree Burglary. 10100 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. 4 p.m., Oct. 14. Two burglars entered the vacant Solo Cup plant through a hole in the west delivery bay door and attempted to remove copper wire, but chased off by security before they could.

Fourth-Degree Burglary. 5000 block of Painters Mill Road in Owings Mills. Between 7 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 11 a.m. on Oct. 18. A burglar entered the construction site and cut 500-foot welding leads from a truck.

Fourth-Degree Burglary. 9400 block of Groveton Circle in Owings Mills. Between 3 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 9. A burglar entered a home under construction and removed copper wires from electrical boxes.
