Police Blotter: Burglary Arrest, TVs, Copper, Car Batteries Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Burglary/Protective Order Arrest

Duane Lee Randall, 25, of the unit block of Kenmar Avenue in Owings Mills, was arrested on Monday, Aug, 27 for stealing a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo he was no longer authorized to use and for violating a protective order. After allegedly taking the vehicle from the unit block of Walk Avenue in Owings Mills, he was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident.

First-Degree Burglary

An unknown suspect stole two Sony flat screen TVs, an LG flat screen TV, a Phillips 13-inch TV and an iMac computer from a home on the unit block of Bailey Lane in Owings Mills between 11 a.m. on July 23 and 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, while the victim was out of town.

Second-Degree Burglary

An unknown suspect tried to steal lawn equipment from a detached garage at a home on the unit block of Pleasant Hill Road in Owings Mills at 5:04 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. The victim heard the garage door open and heard a male say “let’s go,” and found his lawn equipment in the driveway.

An unknown suspect cut the metal lock of a fenced-in area in the parking lot at Sam’s Club in Owings Mills and stole 30 vehicle batteries, valued at $700, at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30.

An unknown suspect stole a Ryobi miter saw, Briggs and Straton generator, nail gun and screw gun after breaking the lock to a shed at a home in the 100 block of Cedarmere Road in Owings Mills between 9 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, and 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27.

Fourth-Degree Burglary

An unknown suspect entered the parking area of on Dolfield Road in Owings Mills and stole a container of 10-foot copper pieces valued at $237 from the roof of a work truck between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. The suspect also tried to cut the front gate lock, but was unsuccessful.

An unknown suspect stole furnaces and coils from homes under construction on the 9400 block of Paragon Court in Owings Mills between 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, and 10:05 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.

An unknown suspect stole Dewalt and Bosch power tools from an unlocked shed at a home on the 100 block of W. Cherry Hill Road in Reisterstown between 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, and 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.

An unknown suspect pried open the front door to an apartment on the unit block of Woodthorne Court in Owings Mills, but stole nothing, between Saturday, Aug. 25, and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27.

Attempted Burglary

An unknown suspect broke the rear first floor window to enter a home on the 400 block of Shirley Manor Road in Reisterstown and rummaged through the home but stole nothing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30.
