The Baltimore County Police Department said Tuesday morning that it was investigating an attempted armed carjacking in Owings Mills.
At 10:39 a.m., officers responded to the scene in the 4300 block of Flint Hill Drive, according to police.
One shot was fired in the attempt to steal the vehicle, Corporal John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department said.
The driver of the red Pontiac GTO drove the vehicle away as the attempted carjackers approached him, Wachter said.
One of the suspects fired a shot, that missed the victim but hit the driver's side floorboard in the vehicle, according to Wachter.
Wachter said the suspects left before police arrived.
No injuries were reported, according to police.
