Every year the Baltimore Humane Society and its supporters recognize the special animals in our lives with a Holiday Lights celebration. Colorful lights decorate shelter buildings and structures, and lighted animal silhouettes adorn the driveway and surrounding areas. Kick off the winter season with our free Winter Open House.  Bring your pets and children for photos with Santa or a menorah taken by Call the Shots Photography, visit with shelter animals available for adoption, enjoy our holiday treat bake sale, and join in the Animal Silhouette Lighting Ceremony at 5pm.

Dedicate a light or lighted silhouette to a special furry or human friend and support the Baltimore Humane Society with your purchase.  Gift recipients will receive a special card letting them know of your contribution.  You can download a Holiday Lights Donation Form at bmorehumane.org/

While enjoying your sweet treat, listen to the caroling of area school choruses who will be filling the air with music throughout the day.

1:15pm - The Traveling Men, Gilman School A Capella Chorus

2pm - McDonogh School Middle School Chorus

3:15pm - Peabody Youth Brass Quintet

4pm - The Middle C's Park School Middle School Chorus

5pm - Join us for our Animal Silhouette Lighting Ceremony

There is no fee to attend the Winter Open House, but the donation of a wish list item or small monetary contribution is appreciated. All contributions will directly support the care of shelter animals at the Baltimore Humane Society.

I have known Susan for many years. We were in Child Study together when my children were young.Read More She is a wonderful woman & I am proud to see her honored for her work with Linda. I also have gotten to know Linda from hanging at Mars & the Dollar Store. Linda & I have become friendly & I have had her over for dinner a few times and recently had a birthday party for her at my house. Linda is a wonderful woman and she is lucky to have Susan working with her. When I had Linda over for her birthday she talked about the award banquet, but she led us to believe the award was for Susan. When I took her home, I saw the award & realized it was for Linda. I'm excited for both women & proud to say that I know them both! Nancy Hoffman
