Visions for Vacancies: Gas Station at Chartley and Main Street

TELL US: What would you like to see in the vacant gas station at Chartley Drive and Main Street?

Vacant stations have become an all-too familiar site in the Reisterstown area.

Once littered with gas stations within spitting distance of each other, Main Street near the Chartley Shopping Center now has several vacant sites, including one on the corner of Chartley Drive on the east side of Main Street.

What would you like to see in this vacant space? Tell us in the comments.

Is there a commercial vacancy you'd like to discuss? If so be sure to email editor Marc Shapiro (marc.shapiro@patch.com) and maybe it will be featured in the next Visions for Vacancies.

Bring back the guy who ran Chartley Mobil! At least it was not an eyesore like the past few owners.

bring back the guy who ran Crown Station( now Gulf). He made everybody happy. Just stopping at the station brought back life to its fullest. He was a charm to the main street

A Jack In The Box, to replace the one that was across the street where the 7/11 is.

Deer Park Cycle!! The vintage motorcycle shop. Its a beautiful place, but tucked up in eldersburg. It used to be on Deer Park Rd, and the bikes out front always caught the eyes of people passing. Also, the proprietor, Jack Geoghegan, is a very kind person and great contributor to the community and charities.

Please, not another chain restaurant - we are over-loaded with chain and other mediocre restaurants that serve frozen/processed food. You would never know there is a movement towards fresh, healthful well-cooked food in this country if you only visited Owings Mills or Reisterstown.
