Chamber to Announce New President at Charter Night

The Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce’s Charter Night will honor the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company, the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct and the Community Crisis Center.

The chamber of commerce will announce its new president on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at its annual charter night.

The Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon (ROMG) Chamber of Commerce has been without a leader since the end of 2012, when its executive director of almost 13 years, Brian Ditto, stepped down at the behest of the chamber.

The new president will be announced at charter night, one of the chamber’s signature events, which is being held at the Double Tree by Hilton (formerly known as the Pikesville Hilton) from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Ditto stepped down as the chamber made the decision to reorganize and change the role of its leader.

Charter Night will also honor the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the Baltimore County Police’s Franklin Precinct, which covers Reisterstown and Owings Mills, and the Community Crisis Center. The CCC is a Reisterstown nonprofit that aims to prevent homelessness through helping local residents with emergency food, hygiene products, school supplies, career clothing, financial literacy and monetary assistance for utilities and living costs.

Tickets to charter night are $60 and be purchased by contacting the chamber at 410-702-7073 or romg@romgchamber.com.
