In recent years the former Maryland Cup Company has been the target of some controversy, after the factory—then owned by Solo Cup—was shut down and sold to developer Greenberg Gibbons.
In this photo, a part of the Baltimore County Public Library photo collection by way of the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development, a group of women pose for a photo inside their work area at the Reisterstown Road factory.
The photo is undated in the library catalogue, but likely dates back to the late 1940s or early 1950s—according to an Answers.com article about the history of the property, it was some time after World War II that the company adopted the named "The Maryland Cup Company".
