Bloomin' Artfest Needs Volunteers

The Bloomin' Artfest committee is looking for new volunteers to help with all aspects of festival planning.

If there's going to be a Bloomin' Artfest in Reisterstown this year, the group that plans the festival needs one thing more than anything else: you.

Last year's festival had to be cancelled due to a lack of manpower and they're hoping to make up for it in 2013 by putting the call out early.

Interested volunteers are asked to contact Calvin Reter at CReter1523@aol.com or 410-303-7320.

In previous years, the festival has taken over the grounds of Franklin Middle School for a weekend in late May with art vendors, music, food and community organizations.

The Reisterstown Improvement Association donated $1,400 to the Bloomin' Artfest last year, and it has been suggested that the RIA take over the festival.

Check out our photos from the 2011 festival and read about what inspires the artists.
