JEMICY UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS JOURNEY TO SOUTH AFRICA

During their spring break, over 50 Jemicy Upper School students embarked on 2-week journey to South Africa to acquire hands-on knowledge of the culture, history, geography, economy, politics, and daily life of the people. The journey took them to Kruger National Park and Rhino & Lion Nature Preserve, which offered unparalleled opportunities to observe the animal kingdom. Other highlights included: Gold Reef City; the the Apartheid Museum; a Zulu village; the Ohlange Institute, uShaka Marine Upper School students who did not travel visited the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore to explore themes of diversity and oppression that corresponded to the South Africa trip.
