In an exhilirating ride, And The Eagle Flys cruises ahead of Private Attack to cinch the 2012 Maryland Grand National title on Saturday afternoon.
The horse, along with rider and trainer William Meister, finished the three mile steeplechase course in six minutes, nine seconds.
And The Eagle Flys led the field of five horses throughout most of the race.
Private Attack and jockey Patrick Worrall, last year's title holder who also won the 2011 Maryland Hunt Cup, finished in second place, followed by More Fascination, ridden by Mark Beecher.
The 2010 Maryland Hunt Cup winner, Twill Do, finished in fourth place.
And The Eagle Flys is owned by Mrs. William D. Class, Jr.
